Chef Jeremy Langlois is a celebrated culinary artist known for his inventive approach to Cajun and Creole cuisine and a deep commitment to sustainable sourcing. Born and raised in the heart of Louisiana, Jeremy's culinary journey began at the young age of sixteen, under the tutelage of the legendary chef John Folse. Chef Folse saw the enthusiasm and the potential in the young protégé and gave him a full scholarship to the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute at Nicholls State University.
In 2004 Chef Langlois found his home at the Houmas House Estate and Gardens. There he oversees the operation of three restaurants on the property as executive chef. His Latil’s Landing Restaurant was named by Esquire Magazine as one of the top twenty best new restaurants in America in 2005.
With a focus on honoring Louisiana’s rich culinary history and traditions, Chef Langlois has earned acclaim for his signature dishes that highlight the bounty of the South. His passion for food extends beyond the plate; he advocates for children’s nutrition.
In addition to running successful restaurants, Chef Jeremy has appeared on various culinary shows and has contributed articles to food publications, sharing his expertise. When he’s not in the kitchen, he enjoys exploring new cuisines, traveling, reading, and spending time with his family.
